This is a decent film, but the narrative gets weird as I’m sure many fans of the franchise will agree. In Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope a group of “people” (A droid and a wookie included) team up against men that want to see the world burn (The Empire) and undertake the mission of trying to destroy a battle station whilst simultaneously aiming to save a Princess Leia from the clutches of Darth Vader.
This epic fantasy was expertly written and directed by George Lucas and stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher as the protagonists. The film was revolutionary for its time in terms of special effects and this swept away the imaginations of many young girls and boys of the day, well into the 80s and beyond.
The story is captivating, and the franchise as a whole is definitely is George Lucas’s magnum opus. It has been incredible inventive with its creation of weird and wonderful creatures and is fun for all the family.
